Hi there! I’ve always had a passion for adventure and discovering new destinations. I’ve dedicated my career to helping businesses in travel and tourism shine. Through personalised marketing services, bespoke hosted tours, and curated travel and food experiences, I work closely with clients to share the wonders of our planet with their audiences in the most creative and exciting ways.
My sales and marketing career in the travel, hospitality and tourism industry began with contract work at a safari game lodge in South Africa. While I had prior experience in media and marketing, it was at this lodge that my interest in hospitality was sparked. A typical day involved sitting and working in the lodge’s open-air lounge, with a view of the watering hole frequented by rhinos, antelopes, and occasionally the elusive leopard. My main tasks included content writing and photography to market the lodge online. I also updated the website and created marketing strategies to boost the lodge’s occupancy. During my time there, I participated in their rhino relocation conservation project, where I handled photography and wrote press releases for our social media channels.
In 2015, I decided to pursue my passion further and joined Go2Africa as an Africa Safari Sales and Marketing Expert. Travelling extensively throughout Southern Africa with their 'Rapids' team, I gained firsthand experience in destinations such as the Kruger National Park, Victoria Falls, the Okavango Delta in Botswana, the Kalahari Desert, and Mauritius.
in 2017 I took on the role of Sales & Marketing Manager at where2travel, overseeing five stores in VIC, Australia. I embraced the challenge, setting up a functional department and implementing marketing strategies. Working closely with major suppliers like Scenic Tours and Club Med, I orchestrated marketing plans and elevated the quarterly newsletter to a 44-page magazine. Organising travel events with companies such as Oceania, Lindblad Expeditions / National Geographic and Ponant was a highlight. Additionally, I designed where2travel's website and their sister brand, Sage Travel's website, managed social media, and handled various other marketing tasks.
